Wednesday October 12 is the NATIONAL DAY OF SPAIN - DIA DE LA HISPANIDAD - and the scene of a spectacular military parade through the steets of Madrid, in the presence of the Royal family and the government - parade is broadcast live on RTVE 1.

Tuesday, August 24 :

8.00 pm : Parade of the giants, starting from c/Francisco Granados and ending at the Feria ground

8.00 pm : Football match between A.C.D. Sierra de Yeguas and C.D. Campillos

10.00 pm : From the townhall balcony, official opening speech and fireworks display

11.00 pm : At the feria ground, opening dance with the Rocking Blue band

12.00pm : Presentation of the candidates for the title of Miss Feria 2011

2.00 am : Presentation of the new Miss Feria 2011

Wednesday, August 24 :

12.00 noon : Mass in honour of San Bartolome

12.45 pm : Parade by the Sierra de Yeguas Music Band "Resurreccion"

2.30 pm : at the village square, free tasting of typical Andalucian meat stew and performance by the "Jaleo" Flamenco dance group

9.00 pm : Music band parading through the village streets.

9.30 pm : Procession of our patron saint San Bartolome

11.00 pm : At the feria ground, dance with the "Almudena" band.

Thursday, August 25 :

12.00 noon : at the village square, childrens games

2.30 pm : at the village square, free paella tasting

10.00 pm : at the village square, performance by the Sierra de Yeguas dance group

11.00 pm : at the feria fround, dance with the Mambo and Tangai bands

Friday, August 26 :

2.00 pm : at the village square, performance by the Rocio choir "Amigos del valle"

7.00 pm : Football match between Sierra de Yeguas and Martin de la Jara (juniors)

Saturday, August 27 :

2.30 pm : at the village square, performance by the "Jaleo" flamenco group

6.00 pm : Foam party at the feria ground´s juvenile area

7.00 pm : at the feria ground, horse spectacle

11.00 pm : at the feria ground, dance with the Vibraciones and Forma bands

12.00 pm : Election of Miss Turismo

1.30 am : Fireworks display and closure of the 2011 Feria.

The SdY townhall reserves the right to change the present timetable and its events without prior advice.

On Saturday evening,  July 16, the Hermandad of Nuestro Padre Jesus de la Humildad, is organizing a street party in the village square,  to celebrate the festivity of the Virgen del Carmen.

Performance by the Sierra de Yeguas Dance Academy, live music, musical bingo, etc.... All proceeds for the benefit of the Hermandad.

Today, the Catholic Church celebrates CORPUS CRISTI, a public holiday in certain autonomous regions. Many cities and villages, however, celebrate this festivity on Sunday. As from saturday afternoon/evening, the villagers will adorn the streets with religious images and drawings, to prepare for the Sunday  Corpus Cristi procession. In our village, the procession will leave the village church after the 8.00 pm mass.

Note that Monday May 16 is a local holiday.
